About Us
The Blooming Bunch was born when two like-minded friends joined forces to create a brand that brings stunning floral arrangements to life, while respecting nature through sustainable practices. Steph and Viv both worked in the local floristry industry on a part-time basis, independently of each other, prior to collaborating. They both furthered their knowledge of floristry in Malta and overseas and grew their respective clientele through their personal contacts and networking efforts. In 2024, they followed an intensive programme at The Bath Flower School, focusing on eco-friendly methods they could introduce to Malta. Today, their brand reflects their interests and efforts in contributing to more sustainable floristry methods, utilising innovative styling techniques with reusable mechanics and materials, instead of single-use plastics.
We create floral arrangements with a strong focus on sustainability and seasonality
About the
Blooming Bunch
At The Blooming Bunch, we create floral arrangements with a strong focus on sustainability and seasonality. Our bouquets are wrapped in eco-friendly, recyclable paper, and both the flowers and twine can be composted. We use biodegradable cellophane made from regenerated cellulose, although in Malta it must currently be disposed of in general waste. We prioritize composting green waste and reusing materials wherever possible. To minimize environmental impact, we source blooms locally, supporting pollination efforts and reducing air miles. By choosing seasonal, European flowers, we ensure that our designs are eco-conscious while celebrating nature’s beauty.
What we believe in
Sustainable floristry
At The Blooming Bunch, sustainability is at the centre of every floral creation. The company has adopted methods and materials with a low environmental impact, starting with the sourcing stage and the use of locally-grown flowers, whenever possible. Moreover, there is a complete omission of the use of floral foam, otherwise known as ‘oasis’, the use of which is unfortunately still commonplace. Floral foam is a form of non-biodegradable, single-use plastic. A standard block is the equivalent of ten plastic carrier bags, which breaks down into microplastics after disposal, posing harm to both the natural environment and human health.
Zero waste / carbon neutrality
In an effort to reduce waste to the bare minimum, The Blooming Bunch composts any leftover flowers and offcuts, reuses materials and dries or presses flowers for ‘everlasting’ arrangements or floral frames, flower confetti and wreaths. Finally, its bouquets are wrapped in recyclable paper and bags, compostable twine and cellophane. Although commonly thought to be a plastic, cellophane is regenerated cellulose, which is therefore biodegradable. Currently, however, cellophane in Malta must be disposed of with general waste.

asked questions
What types of flowers do you offer in your shop?
We focus on locally-sourced and european-sourced, seasonal flowers that reflect the natural beauty. From wildflowers to classic roses, our arrangements highlight what’s in season. We prioritize sustainability by choosing flowers that align with local climate and growing conditions, minimizing environmental impact.
Can I customize a floral arrangement for a special occasion?
We craft bespoke floral products for every occasion, from weddings and events to personal wearables like flower crowns and boutonnieres. Each design is customized to your style, using seasonal flowers and sustainable practices. Our personalized approach ensures every arrangement, whether décor or wearable, is unique and perfectly suited to your special moments.
What is your approach to sustainability in floral arrangements?
Sustainability is at the heart of The Blooming Bunch. We prioritize locally-sourced, seasonal flowers to reduce our carbon footprint and avoid harmful floral foam. By using eco-friendly materials, composting green waste, and supporting local growers, we ensure that our practices respect both nature and the environment.
How far in advance should I place an order for a special event?
For bespoke events, we recommend reaching out at least 4-6 weeks in advance. This allows us time to understand your vision, source seasonal blooms, and create bespoke floral designs tailored to your occasion. For larger events like weddings, earlier planning ensures we can accommodate all your needs seamlessly. For bouquets up to 2 days before.
